Growing Real Opportunities for Wonder in the Schoolyard
NES GROWS is a PTA committee dedicated to the stewardship of the outdoor grounds at NES. The group is led by parent volunteers and has an advisory panel of school administrators, teachers and the Triton Regional School District facilities and grounds manager. We welcome and encourage student participation. The group develops and initiates improvements to the outdoor grounds that create indoor and outdoor learning opportunities across disciplines for the teachers, students, and community. These opportunities engage children in their physical environment while fostering respect for natural resources and their community.
NES GROWS is committed to getting kids outdoors to learn and play through four areas of engagement: outdoor classrooms, educational gardens, nature trail, and enhanced outdoor play.
