Gardening efforts at NES are underway, even though the ground is covered with snow. Last week students in Mrs. Jakobsons’ kindergarten class planted root cuttings and placed them under a  grow light the PTA received through the Voots Get Kids Growing Grant in the spring. The students hope their cuttings of philodendron, English ivy, dolphin plant, geranium, and spider plants will grow, grow, grow!
